Landmark Vineyards
The aromas of toasted almonds, caramel and coconut are followed by crisp green apple and lemon rind flavors that convey certain minerality. This wine will pair well with seafoods and shellfish, and complement pastas with cream sauces, as well as roast chicken and pork roast with fruit.

(sourced from 24 different vineyards, including Bien Nacido, Lorenzo and Sleepy Hollow) Bright gold. Spicy melon, peach and orange aromas are complicated by smoked meat and floral honey. Leesy melon and pit fruit flavors are energized by zesty minerality, which adds focus and lift. This understated chardonnay offers a lightly sweet touch and finishes with excellent cut and persistence.

Wine Advocate
One of California’s finest as well as realistically priced Chardonnays is Landmark’s Overlook. The 2006 (77% from Sonoma, 14% from Santa Barbara, and 9% from Monterey) exhibits classic tropical fruit, orange blossom, and citrus oil aromas along with a subtle whiff of oak in its fragrant, pure bouquet. Excellent acidity, a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and a stunningly long finish result in a beautiful Chardonnay to enjoy over the next several years.

Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wines that are still in the barrel and have yet to be bottled. Futures offer the opportunity to invest in a wine before it arrives in our store.

I still believe it is the simplest way to rate a wine, with its origins from grade school in the United States. A wine that I rate 90 points or more is outstanding (A), and worth buying. If I rate a wine 95 points or more (A+), it is a must buy.
