Château Fonbadet Pauillac 2011

SKU 04094

Open the bottle at least an hour and a half before serving, so that the aromas of the wine can express all their complexity. With young wines, we suggest very tasty, spicy dishes, grilled meat, red and white meat or fish. With wines that have already developed their bouquets, enjoy dishes in sauce, game and fine dishes.

Wine SpectatorSolid, with a bolt of graphite running from start to finish, connecting the plum cake, blackberry coulis and briar notes. Delivers a streak of underlying acidity. Drink now through 2017. 2,100 cases made.

Wine AdvocateThis blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec comes from a vineyard sandwiched between Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Lynch Bages and Pichon Lalande. The color is a healthy dark ruby and the wine offers juicy black currant fruit, sweet tannin, medium body, not a lot of complexity, but good fruit and softness for a 2011. Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
