Kingston Family Vineyards Lucero Syrah 2014

Kingston Family Vineyards Lucero Syrah 2014

We're sorry, but this product is not currently available.

The Lucero is dark and rich, actually bigger than the Bayo and the CJ's this year. It is maybe more "mainstream" than the others in that it delivers straightforward pleasures. Mouthfilling and plush, great for pizza or pasta with red sauce, although it would hold its own against more refined fare, as long as said fare was hearty. It's not shy about its charms. Right now, it's the rich, plush mouthfeel that is the most alluring to me. Aromatically the 2014 Lucero is more reserved than the Bayo or CJ's, and more about dark, ripe fruits. As always, Kingston Family Syrah likes a bit of air, so decant or serve it in a big glass and swirl it around a lot. Drink with hearty, flavorful fare.

Wine EnthusiastRipe, earthy black-fruit aromas are spicy and a bit lactic from oak, hence, the palate is full and creamy, but with a good acidic cut. Blackberry, herbal spice and cool toasty oak flavors finish warm and plump.
