Wine AdvocateThe 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape, which still has not been bottled, looks to be a good to very good effort. A blend of roughly 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre, 10% Counoise and the balance other permitted varieties, it displays plenty of lavender, licorice, tar and plum with a dense, chewy, slightly foursquare and rustic feel on the palate. Nevertheless, there's lots to like here and it should have a broad drink window. Drink 2014-2021.
