Château-Meyney St. Estephe 2010

SKU 07109

Cabernet sauvignon finds ideal maturing conditions in these well-drained gravel soils. Blended with merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot, it produces a wine that is full-bodied, well-rounded and structured. Its making and maturing is painstaking. When fully ready it shows the unique charm of the best Saint Estephe wines: complex, well-balanced and harmonious.

Wine SpectatorDark, pure and driven, with seriously focused black currant, anise and plum notes and a long, graphite-filled finish. A strong showing. Barrel tasting.

Wine AdvocateThis dense ruby/purple-hued 2010 exhibits lots of damp earth and black and red fruit notes along with moderate tannins. It appears to be the finest Meyney produced in many years (this estate made sensational wines in the 1970s and early to mid-1980s). It should drink well for 10-15 years.
