Fabien Collonge Chiroubles L'Aurore des Cotes 2015
Wine EnthusiastProduced from 45-year-old vines, this is a fruity ripe wine. It has concentration and some firm tannins as well a generous black-fruit character. The wine's acidity and structure will allow it to age another year, so drink from late 2017.
Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Chiroubles L'Aurore des Côtes, which is aged for 6 months in concrete vats, has a focused, delineated and fresh bouquet of blackcurrant and cassis fruit. The palate is well balanced with smooth tannin, quite velvety in texture, layers of ripe black cherries and cassis mixed with spice that lend it freshness and edginess. This is a lovely Chiroubles that should drink well for 5-6 years.
