This is lively, with bright black cherry and blackberry coulis flavors racing along, lined with a fresh sanguine note and backed by a minerally edge on the finish. A flash of bay leaf in the background adds range. Drink now through 2030. 3,100 cases made, 1,000 cases imported.

The 2018 Saint Joseph Offerus is similarly purple/ruby-hued and has a tighter, more mineral-drive style compared to the Crozes, which is exactly what you would expect between these two appellations. Beautiful blue fruits, violets, flowers, and wet granite-like notes give way to a medium-bodied, vibrant, nicely concentrated Saint Joseph that shines for its balance, purity, and length. It will keep for a decade, although there's no need to delay gratification.
