Silverado Vineyards Solo Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
|Region||California, Napa Valley, Stags Leap District|
The 2011 SOLO has a core of fresh, crushed red raspberry flavor. The nose is accented with aromas of anise and earth. As the wine opens, lovely floral and violet notes begin to appear. Pleasing acid refreshes the mid-palate in advance of a long finish marked with essence of mineral, stone and flint.
Solo comes from the winery's estate vineyard, the third vineyard planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in the Stags Leap District. It is elegant and old-school in style, pretty in violets and red berries, with a juicy, soft texture. It begs for steak.
