Earthy red fruits, leather, and peppery notes emerge from the 2019 Gigondas, a medium-bodied, nicely balanced, elegant Gigondas that's already drinking nicely today. It should have 7-8 years of prime drinking. The blend is 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah from a single, higher elevation parcel that was brought up tank. It's not profound, yet I love its balance and purity, and it's well worth drinking.
