Peay Pinot Noir 2019
|Region||California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast|
The 2019 version has the added benefit of depth combined with grace that you get from fully mature 21 year old vines in a moderate growing season. Combined with the spicy cherry and mineral notes in the nose are lingering aromas of rose, Earl Grey tea, and sandalwood as if a washed but fragrant hippie had walked through the room when you weren't looking.
The 2019 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is bright and punchy, but also has plenty of depth. Dark cherry, plum, lavender and spice are nicely pushed forward in this racy, succulent Pinot Noir. Silky and vibrant, the 2019 conveys all the energy of the year so well. All the elements come together in a stellar appellation-level Chardonnay from Peay.
Richly textured, with notes of savory ripeness to the dried cherry and berry flavors, followed by hints of anise on the firm finish, with underbrush accents. Drink now through 2025. 1,350 cases made.
