Not yet bottled, the ruby-hued 2017 Vacqueyras Cuvée Classique (60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, and 10% Mourvèdre) has a textbook old-school bouquet of blackberry and strawberry fruits intermixed with lots of garrigue, spice, and sappy underbrush. With beautiful complexity, medium body, and a fine, elegant texture on the palate, it's going to be a terrific wine from this team.
