Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2020
|Region||New Zealand, Marlborough, Wairau Valley|
Distinctly Marlborough, Wither Hills Wairau Valley Sauvignon Blanc is refined and elegant. Mouth-watering, textural acidity and a juicy core of citrus fruit exudes notes of crunchy greens and tropical guava on the nose. Pair with plump, raw oysters, pan seared snapper and Asian style seafood dishes, green salad with goats cheese or feta.
This offers lovely weight on the palate - an almost buxom character with an attractive silken texture. Ripe and round, the flavors head toward the stone fruit and honeydew melon spectrum. However, there are always background varietal notes of nettle and passion fruit lingering on the supple, medium-length finish, reminding you that we're still in Marlborough Sauvignon territory. Tasted as a tank sample.
