Famille Perrin Châteauneuf du Pape Les Sinards 2019
|Region||France, Rhone, Chateauneuf-du-Pape|
There's a lot to like about this version, which leads off with warmed fruitcake and red licorice notes, followed quickly by bramble-lined raspberry, blackberry and cherry compote flavors. Features a roasted apple wood frame that guides it all through the juicy finish. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. Drink now through 2034. 8,000 cases made, 3,000 cases imported.
Dark, glistening ruby. Pungent red/blue fruits, licorice, succulent herbs and cola on the perfumed nose. Velvety and broad on entry, offering juicy cherry preserve and blueberry flavors that tighten up and turn spicier with air. Fine-grained tannins lend shape to a long, pliant finish that features a building floral note. Much of the fruit for this wine came from young Grenache vines at Château de Beaucastel.
