A small-lot Cabernet Sauvignon showcasing the best of the Columbia Valley. Vivid, ripe and intense, with a range of black cherry, wild raspberry and a hint of black currant flavors. A wine that convinces without shouting, featuring supple texture, depth and polished oak undertones. Dark chocolate and subtle spice nuances extend through the finish, with firm, fine-grained tannins and a lingering interplay of mouthwatering fruit tones. This has the concentration to enjoy on its own and the vibrancy to complement a wide range of foods.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Foolhardy (100% Cabernet aged 22 months in 49% new French oak) is another outstanding wine from this estate. Coming from the Elephant Mountain (vines planted in 1999), Red Willow (vines planted in 1991), and the Stone Tree (vines planted in 2006) vineyards, it sports a healthy purple hue as well as lots of blue and black fruits interwoven with plenty of peppery, resinous herbs, violets, and cedar. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has fine tannins, terrific overall balance, and a great finish. As with the 2017, it has at least a decade of prime drinking ahead of it.

Bright red-ruby. A bit wilder on the nose than the Cabernet Sauvignon Blend, offering aromas of black and purple fruits, herbs and licorice. A step up in intensity but much more tannic than the Blend and less inviting today. here thje oak element contributes a slightly aggressive character and dries the finish. this rather uncompromising Cabernet will need some patience.
