Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2015Caymus Special Selection is the flagship wine of the Wagner family and is comprised of the very best barrels of the vintage. This wine is not produced in difficult years. Caymus Vineyards produces two Cabernets Sauvignons - a "Napa Valley" and the venerable "Special Selection". Both Cabernet bottlings have aromas and flavors which can only be achieved through "hang time" - a technique which chances the loss of crop if early winter sets in. Leaving the fruit to "hang" on the vine unusually long develops suppleness, increases color, and matures the tannins of the grapes. The wines are abundant in textural tannins yet soft as velvet. Crop thinning, allowing measured sunlight to reach the vine's fruit zone, and waiting for increased ripeness are all part of our viticultural practices. Caymus Cabernets offer a wide array of aromas and flavors including cocoa, cassis and vanilla.
Bellacosa Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Deep ruby color; the nose is complex and shows layers of dark fruit flavors, including blueberry, rich plum and red raspberry. Soft notes of vanilla and toast provide aromatic richness. The 2016 is lush in the mouth with smooth tannins and a long finish.
Bonanza Lot 1 Cabernet SauvignonA new California Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonanza is produced by Chuck Wagner, owner and winemaker of Caymus Vineyards. It reflects the "bonanza" of the great state of California - the discovery of land where delicious Cabernet can be farmed. Calling back to a time when good wine with dinner was a simple pleasure, Bonanza features flavors of dark berries, vanilla and toasty bread with silky tannins.
Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Deep and intense ruby red color. The nose features aromas of red fruit like plum, raspberry and cherry with savoury notes as well as tobacco, toasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate and tapenade. The mouth is dominated by the presence of young, lively tannins. Good concentration, nice structure and a persistent finish of great personality.
